Why We Use KJV
Why We Use KJV
While we do not judge others on what Bible version they use, our leaders only use the KJV.
We believe the Authorized Version—King James Bible is the preserved, infallible Word of God for the English speaking people.
Our founding Pastor, Albert Hudson, explains why the King James Bible is so important in his book “The End From the Beginning, God’s Eight Days”. The following is taken from pages 129-135 of his book:
GOD GAVE THE HOLY SCRIPTURES
The Scriptures contain in the original languages the plan of God from the beginning of his creation unto the eternal age. All creation belong to the Creator, Jesus Christ, who spoke it into existence and upholds all things by the word of his power. (Refs John 1:3, Hebrews 1:3, etc.).
The Old Testament Scriptures contains the New Testament; likewise, the New Testament Scriptures unfold the Old Testament and brings fulfillment to the complete word of God.
And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live. Deuteronomy 8:3. (Refs. Matthew 4:4, Luke 4:4).
Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth. Deuteronomy 32:1.
Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name. Malachi 3:16
Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the Lord hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted. Isaiah 49:13
The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. Psalm 12:6, 7.
I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. Isaiah 45:23.
God gave warning regarding changing his words both in the Old Testament and in the New Testament. Only Satan and his emissaries would attempt to corrupt or alter the words of God.
Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. Proverbs 30:5, 6.
Thus saith the LORD; Stand in the court of the LORD’s house, and speak unto all the cities of Judah, which come to worship in the LORD's house, all the words that I command thee to speak unto them; diminish not a word: Jeremiah 26:2.
Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you. Deuteronomy 4:2.
I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. Revelation 22:16, 18, 19.
Jesus Christ through the Holy Ghost gave the final 27 Books of the Bible, the New Testament Scriptures, to Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul, James, Peter and Jude between the years of about 35 AD and 100 AD.
CORRUPTION OF MANUSCRIPTS BY FALSE PROPHETS
Satan’s false apostles in the early church neither believed that Jesus was God manifest in the flesh (Ref. 1 Timothy 3:16), nor that he was virgin born, nor paid our sin debt, nor raised up from the dead.
After the Lord gave the New Testament manuscripts to the apostles, copies were made and circulated among the believing churches. Unbelieving Jews, and later idolatrous Gentiles, corrupted copies of the manuscripts by marking through the originally inspired words and replaced them with words that contradicted and denied the truth of the deity of Jesus Christ.
These false apostles circulated their corrupted copies, casting doubt upon the truth of Jesus Christ and the gospel of Christ.
Jesus said, “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves”. Matthew 7:15.
The New Testament Scriptures contain warnings that these false apostles are responsible for corrupting copies of New Testament manuscripts.
For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. 2 Corinthians 11:13-15
The apostle Paul wrote: “For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ”. 2 Corinthians 2:17.
To the churches of Galatia, God had Paul write: “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ”. Galatians 1:6, 7.
And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage: To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you. Galatians 2:4, 5.
They zealously affect you, but not well; yea, they would exclude you, that ye might affect them. Galatians 4:17. I would they were even cut off which trouble you. Galatians 5:12.
Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision. . . (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) Philippians 3:2, 18, 19.
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. . . Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God. Colossians 2:8, 18, 19.
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. 2 Peter 2:1-3
The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. 2 Peter 2:9, 10
There are two conflicting powers operating in the world of society; the first being the truth of the word of God, and secondly the deceptive corrupted lies of Satan, contained in modern versions that some call bibles. God has given his word, which liveth and abideth forever.
The Word of God governs all creation (Refs. Hebrews 1:3, Acts 17:24-26), this includes Satan and his kingdom. God gave only one Bible and the Holy Ghost gives the interpretation thereof.
But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 2 Corinthians 4:3, 4.
For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses
of his majesty. For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. 2 Peter 1:16-21
But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. Galatians 1:11, 12
If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to youward: How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) Ephesians 3:2-4
In the mid-nneteenth century, a man by the name of Tischendorf found two corrupted manuscripts and proclaimed them to be the most accurate and oldest Greek texts in existence. These were tossed aside by the Church. A modern Greek text (Alan-Nestle) was derived from these two manuscripts.
All modern paraphrase bibles are supposedly translated from this Greek text; yet, they do not agree one with another, they all deny the deity of Jesus Christ, they all cast doubt upon the truth that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, and they all deny that Jesus is God manifested in the flesh (Ref. 1 Timothy 3:16).
Satan’s deception, through the world-wide spread of a host of perverted and corrupted bibles, has prepared the world for the coming of the antichrist to rule the world in the seven years tribulation, the 70th week of Daniel 9:24. The King James Bible reveals the coming of antichrist in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 and in the book of Revelation chapters 6 & 13. Approximately two out of three Jews will receive the antichrist as God when he comes in his own name. (Ref. Zechariah 13:8, 9).
Jesus said, “I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive”. John 5:43.
