Children Ministries

What Can You Expect from Our Children’s Programs?

Bible-based

While we want to present biblical truths in a kid-friendly way, we don’t want to dilute the Bible. Our lessons are grounded in God’s Word. Since we use KJV, we also teach children the meaning of unfamiliar words so they can learn to read the Bible on their own and understand it.

Gospel-oriented

Presenting the gospel is our first priority. We want children to understand God’s love and Jesus’ sacrifice. We also strive to teach children how our need for a Savior is reflected throughout the whole Bible, not just the New Testament. Children are also taught the importance of evangelism and serving God in their church, in their home, and in their community.

Kids have three opportunities for learning and worship.

Sunday School – Sundays at 10:00 a.m.

Children’s Church – Sunday mornings during the sermon

King’s Kids – King’s Kids meets Wednesdays during the school year from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Classes are provided for ages 3 through 12th Grade.  King’s Kids have singing time, class time, game time, and a sermon each week.

Sunday School

We offer classes for children from nursery age up to age 12. Our classes seek to teach children important Bible fundamentals. Because of this, we have set goals for each class to help us focus on preparing our children to exercise their faith, which parents can find at the bottom of this page. Sunday school goes from 10:00 – 10:35 a.m. Classes are together in one hallway, making it easy for parents to gather their children before the service begins at 11:00.

Pre-Primary Class (nursery – preschool)

The Pre-Primary class teaches children beginning Bible stories and introduces kids to the love of Jesus through songs and age-appropriate activities.

Primary Class (ages 5-8)
In the Primary class, children begin to dive deeper into God’s Word and learn to apply the Bible to their lives.

Junior Class (ages 9-12)

The Junior class guides children deeper into the Bible and prepares students for real-world problems. Students also learn the importance of evangelism and the Roman’s Road.

Children’s Church

While parents are welcome to keep children with them during the sermon, we offer Children’s Church as a way to give students biblical instruction on their level. After the song service, children take up a special offering and sing. Then they head to a classroom to practice songs before they are split into two classes. Each class uses the goals set for Sunday school in order to provide cohesive instruction.

Little Children’s Church (ages 3-5)

This class incorporates Bible-based learning activities and introduces basic tenets of the Christian faith.

Upper Children’s Church (grades 1-6)

Children dive deeper into the Bible, studying biblical figures and memorizing Scripture. This class aims to promote Bible literacy and prepare children to recognize sound doctrine vs. false doctrine.
