Letter From the Pastor

Dear Reader,

I am writing this letter to you to ask you the most important question that you have ever been asked. Have you accepted Jesus as your savior? There are many things in life that are important to me, but as my ministry ages I see clearer every day the main thing is to win souls to Jesus. I love seeing people realize they need a savior. To see someone come to the
place of childlike faith and accept Jesus is enough for heaven to stop and come to attention. Dear reader, if this is your last day on this earth, do you know where you will spend eternity? Has the Holy Ghost drawn you to see the need for salvation? Do you know who Jesus is and what he came to this earth to do? Do you realize what he did on the cross? Do you realize why he arose on the 3rd day? Do you understand what the Death, Burial and Resurrection of Jesus was all about? Do you believe that it was God’s plan for the redemption of mankind? These are questions you need to have  settled. Jesus is the only way to heaven.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Realize everyone is a sinner no matter who we are. We have come short.

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Realize God loves everyone in our sinful condition. Also, that when we were in that condition that Jesus died for us. We
did not have to straighten up for Jesus to die for us.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Realize that by being a sinner we earn wages and the wages we earned was death–which is to say we are separated
from God. We must read on. Thank God for the word “but” in this verse. God gave us the gift of eternal life and that is
through Jesus Christ. Remember I asked the question “did you know what Jesus did on the cross”. Jesus is the gift.
There was a price that had to be paid for the sins of mankind. This is the gift; Jesus shed his blood on the cross of Calvary
for the sins of all of mankind.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

v.10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

v.11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

v.12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

v.13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Realize now that you are a sinner. There was a wage you earned by being born into sin and that is separation from God.
The only way mankind could get back to God is that there was a price that had to be paid. Jesus gave himself on the
cross to pay this.
Now you need to realize that you need to believe this in your heart and confess it with your mouth. If you do this in your
heart and with your mouth, then you will be saved. This means you will become a Christian. This is the most important
thing you will ever do. By accepting Jesus as your Savior, you will have eternal life.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

v.17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

V.18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

My prayer is that you have or will trust Jesus Christ as your Saviour. Please know this is the most important decision you
will ever make in life. We as the people of God are concerned about your life. It is my privilege to pastor Liberty Baptist
where there is liberty for the Holy Ghost to drawn men, women, boys, and girls to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

God Bless You Dear Reader,

Pastor Stacy Penland
